Each knife is crafted from stainless steel and features a black wooden handle. There is a convenient hole in each handle to allow for a variety of storage possibilities. The flexible blades vary in shape and size to suit a wide variety of mixed media including embossing paste, oil paint, acrylic paint, and more.

Blade Sizes (width measured at widest point):

  • 2 (diamond head) - 1 1/2" x 1/2"
  • 4 (diamond head) - 2 1/8" x 9/16"
  • 6 (flat head) - 2 1/8" x 5/8"
  • 8 (diamond head) - 2 7/8" x 5/8"

Design Ideas:

  • Use the small blade to apply embossing paste through the intricate crevices of your stencils
  • Mix pigment into your embossing paste, decoupage medium, and more with the medium blades
  • Use the large blades for scooping up large quantities of paint or other mediums
  • Add texture to a variety of painted surfaces
  • Impasto artwork

great set!

I've had other metal palette knives and they tended to bend instead of flex and so broke easily or became unusable. These are surprisingly sturdy. They have some flexibility but don't bend so they don't feel like they will weaken and break over time. It's kinda hard to compare to a plastic palette knife as the flexibility of the plastic allows for techniques you can't do with these, but if you need something for spreading pastes through stencils etc, these are a huge upgrade from a plastic palette knife. These are a great value even at full price and I don't say that lightly. It isn't often I find a product that elicits a 'if I had known how good this was or what a game changer it would be, I wouldn't have hemmed and hawed over the price'.

Better than plastic palette knives

I am used to using plastic palette knives, and I find these far superior to what I was using. These still have the flexibility that I like, but are stronger and apply thick pastes more evenly. And cleanup is a breeze!

High Quality Palette Knives

I wanted something sturdier than the plastic knives I'd been using, but wasn't expecting how much easier they make application. I used them to apply heavy paste over a delicate stencil and was surprised by how easy it was to get even coverage.
