Card Design Team

Lydia lives in Buckley, Flintshire, North Wales, U.K. with her husband and their two little ones. She has a degree in English and Media and has always wanted to be a children’s TV presenter when she was younger. She has always been crafty; ever since she can remember, she has been cutting paper and sticking things. She got into stamping through scrapbooking. She started scrapbooking in 2009 when she had her little boy and then wanted to take her pages further and make her own patterned paper - stamping helped her do just that. Her passion is for CAS style cards; she sometimes likes to add lots of techniques into her cards but there is always a clean look about them. Lydia has been published in a number of magazines and represents Altenew on U.K.'s Create and Craft channel.

Aga is a short form of her name, Agnieszka. She was born and raised in Poland and moved a couple of years ago to Manchester, England. She always loved being creative and, about 6 years ago, she started her paper crafting adventure by making cards for family and friends. She has been hooked on card-making ever since. During this time, Aga has served as a member of several design teams and has guest designed projects for a number of others. She has been published in numerous craft publications and contributed to several craft-related classes. Among other honors, she was also chosen as one of the 10 finalists in the Paper Crafts 2012 Gallery Idol Contest. She describes her style as clean and simple, with a touch of ink splatters and messy thread tangles.

You can find Aga's creations on her blog and connect with her on Instagram, Pinterest and Flickr.

Her friends call her E.T. She hails from Karachi, Pakistan. She started blogging in 2008 and named her blog "VIBGYOR Krafts" because she loves rainbow colors. Her crafting style varies from shabby chic to CAS and she can accomplish both looks beautifully. She loves to color - whether it's watercoloring or pencil coloring. Her friends motivated her to start selling her work so, in 2010, she launched her brand Glitter & Swirls where she sells her work and also takes on commission work. When she is not crafting she is rescuing injured or abandoned pets. She has a house full of cats of her own too; she loves them unconditionally.

Therese lives on the Gold Coast in Australia with her husband and two precious cats. She has also lived and worked overseas a few times; in the U.K. and in Guernsey. She has always enjoyed many kinds of crafting, but everything was put aside when she found her love of card-making in 2005. She wanted to share the joy so she created her Youtube channel in 2012 and along with design teams, magazine publications, swimming, camping and travel (oh, and full-time shift work) she manages to keep herself quite busy. She likes to try out many different styles and techniques, but especially loves to create with flowers.

Jaycee Gaspar is a military brat born in Alabama and has called Colorado home since 2002 after years of living overseas. He is a full-time Medical Laboratory Scientist specializing in DNA testing of infectious diseases. During his time away from the lab, Jaycee is grateful for the time to exercise creativity in card making and other paper crafting projects since 2015. His design style is inspired by street art, graphic design, and geometry with deliberate details and composition. His range of creativity also encompasses photography, painting, drawing, and now video editing. Jaycee also loves spending time outside running and participating in local races. Nathalie (aka Tachita, her nickname since birth) was born and raised in Ecuador but calls Toronto, Canada home for most her adult life. She is blessed to be a stay-at-home wife and mom to her teenagers and baby Boston Terrier. She has been enamored with paper crafting and documenting since the day her mom gave her a small paper pad and color pens to play with as a child. Through her life, she has kept a detailed journal of her days and started to transform her journal entries into a more visual format just three years ago. Her style is always evolving, but she loves adding mixed media to her pages and combining black and white photography with lots of colors. You can always find her with her camera on hand, enjoying time with her family or at the dining room table with her black coffee creating her projects.

Make sure to stop by Nathalie’s blog and connect with her on Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube.

Erica comes from Sweden originally but has lived a little bit all over the world before settling in Spain.

Paper crafting and, especially, card making have been a big part of her life since coming across a sweet and innocent-looking card making kit, and she bought it thinking nothing of what a rabbit hole that kit contained.

Many, many years later, she has a craft room full of crafting goodies and serves on several design teams. Sharing inspiration and being inspired by others is one of her favorite things about the crafting community.

You can soon find more of Erica’s creations on her brand-new website and connect with her on Instagram and YouTube.

She loves teaching and empowering others to create their own one-of-a-kind paper crafting projects. Carissa believes YOU CAN DO THIS and wants to inspire and empower the creative in you!

She has many interests outside of paper crafting. She is a wife, mother of three adult children, pediatric nurse, and mother to two fur babies, Mochi and Charlie. She lives in a small town in the Central Valley of California where she grew up and enjoys the “small town life”. She enjoys traveling the world and scuba diving with her husband of 22 years.

Above all, Carissa loves to laugh and can often be heard doing just that as she shares online.

Mindy Eggen is from a small town born and raised in Wisconsin. She is a stay at home mom to her younger son who is autistic and older daughter who is enjoying college life. She has a very supportive husband that adjusts to the fact she has her craft room in the kitchen and they have a fur baby named Sammy.

She has always enjoyed papercrafting from an early age by entering drawing and coloring contests as young as second grade. When her kids were younger, she would always make fun treat boxes and cards for the teachers and students.

She got into scrapbooking through Close To My Heart around 2008 (ish) where she taught many classes in her community. Then she fell in love with card making and jumped on the Youtube/Instagram bandwagon in December of 2016.

Mindy enjoys creating and loves to share her process with others. She’s been invited to teach at many virtual events and finds joy in connecting with the crafters, sharing her techniques and helping others. You will find Mindy and her cards throughout the industry as she often guest designs and is a part of other design/video teams. Her style varies anywhere from clean and simple to mixed media but her favorite technique is ink blending. Outside of creating cards, she enjoys cross stitching and a good book.

Nicki Baxley is a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner who chose to step away from clinical practice during COVID to stay home with her children. What began as a season of slowing down quickly became a turning point. Encouraged by her husband to pursue the creative spark she had always loved, she leaned into cardmaking and launched her YouTube channel, Nicki Hearts Cards. That leap of faith transformed into a thriving creative business, and she hasn’t looked back since.

Through Nicki Hearts Cards, she shares detailed tutorials, livestreams, and technique-driven projects designed to help cardmakers stretch their supplies and build confidence. Her teaching style blends practical instruction with an encouraging, down-to-earth approach that makes both beginners and seasoned crafters feel capable and inspired. From embossing folders and die cutting to heat embossing and mixed media, she is known for breaking techniques down step by step while adding her own creative twist.

At home, she is a proud mom of two teenage boys who frequently serve as her unofficial design consultants, especially when it comes to creating the “coolest” masculine cards. Above all, Nicki loves to experiment. She is constantly testing products in unexpected ways, layering techniques, and asking “what happens if…” Her curiosity and willingness to try something new are at the heart of her creativity and the reason her audience keeps coming back for more.

You can find Nicki's creations on her BlogYouTubeFacebook, and Instagram.

There are three things you should know about Lea Lawson — she loves coffee, cards, and dancing…the order changes by the hour. Born and raised in Montana, Lea and her husband were able to return to the state where they first met, and are now building their forever home on their own little piece of it.

Lea stepped into the papercrafting world in 1998, when her aunt gifted her a scrapbooking kit for graduation. She documented every moment that summer and beyond, and she’s been creating ever since. She shifted to cardmaking exclusively in 2009 while completing an intensive photography curriculum. After more than seven years as a marketing director, she stepped into full‑time freelance creative and educational work in 2025.

Outside of her creative career, Lea loves staying active through dancing, paddleboarding in the summer, and working on her hiking endurance in both length and elevation. She enjoys reading, spending time with her husband, family, and friends, and savoring a fancy cocktail every now and then.

You can find Lea Lawson Creates on her Blog, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook.
