Wonderful embossing folder

I finally had a chance to play with this embossing folder that I bought months ago. It's so much fun! I know I'll be using it for the Fourth of July as well as New Years cards!

Celebrate!

This folder is obviously great for 4th of July cards, but I've used it for birthday cards and congratulations cards too. It's fun to ink blend different colors over each firework for a multi-colored effect.

Doesn’t work well for me

I tried multiple types of paper, with shims, no shims and two different machines (Gemini and Platinum) and could not get the design to emboss without a lot of torn spots. I love the design but even dampening the paper first didn’t help.

Does not disappoint

Oh my! It adds such a depth to my cards! I purchased the stamp and am excited to add it as a stamped top layer to this embossing folder impression!!!

Makes a statement

I pulled this out of my stash to use for my New Year's cards, I made about 10 cards, no problems, no paper tearing, happy with all of them. I used 80lb colored card stock, that I spritzed with water. The impression the folder makes can stand on its own without doing anything more but I have a mixture of texture paste and mica powders from various companies and I just played with all of them to further accentuate the embossing. A little mixed media fest.
