Some people may look at a set like Modern Beadwork, and not realize all of the possibilities for designs. To help you out, we have a few ideas you can reference- of course these are not the only patterns you can create, but it might give you a little head start! This document can also be found on the Modern Beadwork product page.
Since the document shows the traditional ways you can use this set, I wanted to share some more creative uses for these versatile stamps!
Instead of stamping each design element in a different color, I used the long strip of beads (stamped 11 times) and embossed it in white. This allowed me to watercolor over it to incorporate some soft color.
This card uses the chevron-shaped stamp, and shows that you can use the design elements to create patterns for borders on your projects! It is finished off with some plastic bubbles (not sure what else to call them, lol) and a sentiment from Super Script.
Here, I stamped two of the beadwork elements to create a simple pattern. I think it looks like an old decorative tile! The sentiment (from Sketchy Cities Abroad) was stamped onto vellum, and the sides are accented with washi tape.
The sentiments in this set have lovely friendship phrases- here I used one and paired it with embroidery floss that I knotted and adhered to the card. For extra visual interest, I popped up part of the sentiment on a circular die cut.
This last card was created by pairing the stamped heart from Modern Beadwork along with patterned paper, vellum, and a sentiment from Label Love. The pink/purple gradient was colored with Copic markers, and allowed to show through a little break in the front panel (which has been adhered with foam tape). The fuchsia stars are sweet little rub-ons, which complete the card.
