Have been wanting this die set for a very long time. So glad it went on sale; looking forward to using this set for my Spring Cards and Easter.
As promised, this Craft-A-Flower set produces a lovely flower with stem and leaves when using varying shades of cardstock alone--no inking required. (Utmost gratitude from this unskilled inker!) The assembly is easy (not too many pieces and few among them fiddly), and I've had loads of fun creating enough daffodils to fill a garden. Some of them are in colors that are true to life, others were inspired by the examples shown on the product page. Making the entire plant monochromatic (thank you, Tina Smith!) and leaving out the center trumpet (thank you, Nenette Samson Madero!) really stretched my creativity. That these examples are provided is one of the reasons I'm so devoted to Altenew--they work hard to ensure their customers get the most value from their products (thank you, Altenew!).
It was surprisingly easy to put the pieces together. I like the hops Altenew offers for all of their releases. I can get lots of ideas to make pretty cards.
This is such a beautifully detailed die set; I used the same colors as in the example & it turned out just right!
After watching a Live with Amy, where she colored card stock with ink for another CAF flower, I thought I'd try that. Worked out great! Layered yellows, beautiful. Paired it with CAF tulips. Inked those also.
Easy to put the flower together.
