Guest Designer: Taheerah Atchia

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday! I'm Taheerah and I'll be sharing a guest designer post with you today. :)

I am so taken with the Sketchy Cities series, the images in these sets are incredibly detailed and suitable for so many occasions! Today I'm playing with Sketchy Cities Abroad and I had a blast doing so!

I settled on using the Shanghai skyline but I wanted to try something a bit different with it by stamping the images on patterned paper!

So here's what I came up with! Isn't it fun?!

I stamped the skyline and some of the stars onto a woodgrain patterned paper and trimmed them all out carefully before mounting onto another patterned panel. I love the contrast of the modern skyline with a classic woodgrain against an ethereal sunrays background! :D I splattered on some mists for some added detail. The skyline and the stars are all adhered with dimensional glue gel so they pop off the card, and a little Wink of Stella glitter brush pen below the skyline gives a cool shadow/waterline. :)

I added a sentiment from the fun Figure Effects set onto a different patterned paper and adhered that with plenty of dimension too. And to add an extra fun detail I adhered a ton of sequins to one edge of my card base for a truly eclectic finish!

Hoping you've liked what you've seen today! I'll be back later on in the month to share some more creations! Thank you so much to Tasnim and Jennifer for inviting me to guest with Altenew this month - I love every single design from this talented duo and can't wait to share more with you soon! Thanks so much for stopping by! :)
