Altenew Premier Blog Hop

Hello, and welcome to our very first blog hop!

A number of talented designers have gathered to showcase some of our brand new stamps. All the stamp sets were revealed yesterday, if you didn't see them yet, you can take a look at them here

We designed some cards to feature our stamps. Since there is a long line of cards, let's get started!

This card features the Super Script set. With a simple water color and glitter background, you can easily use one of the sentiments from this set as the focal point of your card.

This card features the Painted Flowers set. The flowers in this set work well together, would you believe that I made this card without any planning? I simply started by stamping the top left flower and went along from there. I love pairing this set with our Label Love set, and here I embossed one of the sentiments with gold embossing powder, trimmed it and adhered with foam tape.

This card features the Dodecagram set. One of the images from this set was embossed in gold on a scrap piece of card stock, and then colored with Copic markers. On the card base, the word "celebrate" was stamped repeatedly at an angle to create a patterned background. Don't feel intimidated! It took less than ten minutes to finish the stamped background!

This card features the Sohcahtoa set. Simply stamp and let your creativity go wild! You can do a lot with this set! Check our Pinterest board to see other examples.

This card features the Hennah Elements set. Once again, I opted for simple stamping to show how you can use the various elements to create beautiful designs. I stamped the sentiment on a scrap piece of card stock, trimmed and raised it with foam tape to add interest to the card.

This card features the Simple Shapes set. The shapes in this set are designed to work and "fit" together. As you can see in this card, they all align perfectly. The sentiment is from the Thoughts & Reminders set, and it was embossed in white on vellum. The vellum works very well in isolating the sentiment, yet not entirely blocking the beautiful stamped background.

We love how versatile the Simple Shapes set is, so we have a couple more cards to show you some different ways of using this set. In this card, The seven elements of a traditional Tangram puzzle were used to stamp a boat. If you search for Tangram, you will find many more examples of what you can stamp!

You can also create your own designs and patterns! Here, the shapes were used to create a stack of cuboids. Once again, a sentiment from the Label Love set was used to complement the card's graphic design.

This card features the Faux Veneer set. Here, the sequin wood veneer stamp was used to create the "sprinkles" for a birthday card.

This card features the the Lace Up set. The lace design was embossed in white on a cream card base, and one of the sentiments from the set was stamped on pink card stock, trimmed and adhered with foam tape.

This card features the Sketchy Cities America set. The Boston skyline was stamped and water colored, and as in the previous card, one of the sentiments from the set was stamped on white card stock, trimmed and adhered with foam tape.

The skyline stamps were designed in a way so you can use them either portrait or landscape. Here, the New York skyline was embossed in white on black card stock, and the sky was pained with metallic paints. Such a dramatic effect!

This card features the Ori Kami set. The butterfly from the set was embossed in gold and colored with Copic markers.

And lastly, we have this card featuring the Figure Effects set. The images were stamped on a scrap piece of card stock, and then die cut with a square die. The same die along with a kraft knife were used to create the frame which was then covered with Black liquid enamel.

I hope you found some inspiration in our featured cards! Now hop along to see what our amazing designers created:

Your next stop is the queen of stamping Cristina Kowalczyk!

And here are the rest of the designers along the hop:
